Women Advancing Microfinance-New York (WAM-NY) invites you to attend our first scholarship fundraising event on the evening of Tuesday, October 12th.
The event will raise funds for women microfinance practitioners from the Global South to attend specialized training programs and conferences to improve their skills and career development.
100% of the proceeds from the event will go directly to WAM Scholarships.
While enjoying a selection of artisanal wines from Italy, France & Germany, you will have an opportunity to learn more about WAM and the importance of women in economic development, particularly in microfinance programs as both clients and microfinance leaders. The event will also include a raffle and a silent auction.
Our featured speaker is Christine Roth, Deputy Executive Secretary and Director of Operations at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
Price: $60 per person* through Friday, October 10th
$85 per person* after Friday, October 10th
Includes tasting 5 wines (2 red, 2 white, 1 sparkling) and African appetizers.
